Subdex presents records held by third-party archives. It cannot verify that those records are complete, current or accurate.

Records may be incomplete
Archives capture what they were able to capture. Posts and comments can be missing for many reasons: an outage during collection, content deleted before it was seen, private or restricted communities, or gaps in historical coverage. An empty result means the archive holds nothing matching your query. It does not mean nothing was posted.
Content may be outdated
A record reflects the moment it was captured. Text may have been edited afterwards, and the archive may hold only one version. Threads may have continued after capture.
Scores are snapshots
Vote counts and comment counts were sampled at archival time and change afterwards. Records captured within roughly 36 hours of posting carry placeholder values rather than real ones, and Subdex excludes those from score statistics.
Removed content lacks context
Where a record is marked deleted or removed, that is what the archive observed. Subdex does not check Reddit to confirm it. The reason for removal, and the conversation surrounding it, are generally not recoverable.
Not an identity or verification service
Subdex does not verify who controls an account and offers no opinion on it. Nothing here establishes that a given person wrote a given thing.
Verify before relying on this
- Check findings against original sources where they still exist.
- Treat absence as unknown rather than as negative evidence.
- Do not make consequential claims about a person on the basis of archive records alone.
