What this service is

Subdex is a browser-based interface to third-party archives of public Reddit content. It is provided as-is, without warranty. There are no accounts, no payment and no service-level commitment.

Data sources and their limitations

Records come from independent archive operators. Subdex does not control their completeness, uptime, retention or accuracy, and makes no guarantee that any particular record exists or is correct. Those services may change, rate-limit or withdraw access at any time, which may make parts of this tool stop working.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for how you use what you retrieve, including compliance with the laws that apply to you and with any research ethics obligations you are under. Use is subject to the acceptable use policy.

Archive records are not verified facts. Do not make consequential claims about a person on the basis of what appears here without independent verification.

Exports and local data

Files you export are yours, and so are the obligations that come with holding them. Saved research is stored in your browser; we hold no copy and cannot recover it if you clear your browser data.

Intellectual property

Reddit content belongs to the people who wrote it and is subject to Reddit’s own terms. Reddit trademarks belong to their owners. Subdex is independent and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Reddit or with any archive operator.
